The South Peace Community Multiplex (renamed Encana Events Centre) was a major project for the City of Dawson Creek and the surrounding communities. The Multiplex is recognized as one of the finest multipurpose community recreation and event centers in the North. It provides first class recreation opportunities for the citizens of the South Peace and enhances economic growth by hosting a wide range of entertainment, cultural, sporting, and commercial events. It is a shining example of a public facility that was designed and built to operate in a highly efficient and responsible manner using a collaborative design approach.

The Multiplex includes an aquatic centre, an events centre with an NHL sized ice surface and permanent seating capacity of 4,500, convertible into a 110’ x 230’ interior event space capable of hosting a variety of vehicle, agricultural and industrial shows. The facility also boasts an Agri-Centre with a 120’ x 250’ clear span building for equestrian activities & events as well as stables and all necessary support spaces.
