Office Building

Originally planned as a two story office building for administrative staff and field workers, the program for this project was expanded to include the control center for a natural gas processing plant. The steel structure, brick façade and specialized glazing were designed to withstand a potential explosion of nearby pipelines.

A naturally lighted atrium welcomes the occupants into the building where ease of circulation is combined with bright and open work areas. The layout includes kitchen facilities and change rooms for employees as well as flexible multi-purpose rooms for large meetings and seminars or small groups and informal meetings.

Heat recovery, high efficiency boilers and a DDC control system were all incorporated into the operating systems of the building along with a high performance building envelope to minimize long term operating costs.
