Tourism & Business Trade Centre

Nestled on the banks of Bear Creek in Muskoseepi Park, Center 2000 serves as the Tourism and Business Trade Centre for the Grande Prairie Region. The project began as a partnership between the City of Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce and grew to incorporate the Grande Prairie Museum, The United Way, and many other user groups. The two-storey building consists of an open octagonal atrium with two extending wings housing office and meeting spaces. The basement area was developed into an interpretive museum and a 25 foot tall sundial was also incorporated into the project serving as a landmark to identify the cultural and economic significance of the facility.
